The divine tree is described as having its roots in the higher realm and its branches extending downward, with the Vedic hymns as its leaves. Krishna explains that this tree is indestructible, and the one who truly understands it is considered a knower of the Vedas. This tree represents the entire universe, with its spiritual roots and earthly manifestations.

In this world, the true nature of this tree remains unknown, its beginning and end unclear, and its foundation unperceived, but by using the sharp axe of detachment, one can cut through the deeply rooted ashvattha tree. This powerful tool allows us to sever our connection to it. The tree's strength and stability are only fully understood when it's cut down.
