It's better to live a simple life, even relying on the charity of others, than to kill great souls like my teachers. If I were to kill them, any wealth or fulfillment I might gain would be tainted by their blood, and all my pleasures would be stained by the cost of my actions.

I'm torn about what's more desirable, winning or losing, because if we emerge victorious, it would mean killing the sons of Dhritarashtra, and that's a devastating prospect, since they're the very people we can't bear the thought of living without, and yet they're standing right in front of us, ready to fight.

Just as we shed old, worn-out clothes and put on new ones, the soul sheds its old, worn-out body and moves into a new one, leaving the old behind. This process is a natural part of life, where the embodied self takes on a new form. The soul is not limited by its physical body and can transition into a new one, just like we change our clothes.
